At the start and end of a shift

Personnel use the mobile web to start and end a shift. Device location and site geofence checks provide context for the event; this is not continuous movement tracking. Where a presence event requires an exception, the Watch Officer confirms or rejects it and the decision is audited.

Present is not operationally available

The crewing view separates rostered, present and operationally available people. A successful location check cannot grant a missing competency or fill a role twice. The officer confirms the crew against required and filled positions, seeing restrictions, expired evidence and training-release gaps before accepting the watch.

Be precise about the device

This is a working mobile web workflow, not a native app or a verified offline check-in. The location check is tied to the shift event. When connectivity or evidence is missing, the system should not imply a verified check-in or a ready capability.
